Preparing for Post Secondary Success: How to Thrive and not just Survive.
With an attrition rate as high as 25% in some post secondary programs, students need to learn the skills necessary to lead a successful and balanced academic life after high school. Come to hear from post secondary leaders, past students, and others about how to be successful. Speakers and representatives from BCIT, Douglas College, Simon Fraser University and UBC will present information that will assist students with their transition to post-secondary programs and institutions. BCIT Open House – Interested students are invited to BCIT’s BIG Info night on Wednesday, March 1st, 5pm-8pm at the Burnaby Campus. Speak to instructors, meet grads and students, and see what BCIT is all about. This event is free and open to anyone.

Archimedes Talks is a 3-part speaker series (Feb 18, Mar 4, Apr 1) held at UBC aimed at 11th-graders who are interested in math and science. Hear engaging talks by experts, introducing them to fields of active research in math and applied science. Interested students should be nominated by a teacher by January 31.
